Call for Performers

Texas Burlesque Festival is no longer accepting performer applications for its fifth annual raucous three-day hoedown & showdown celebrating the revival of all things burlesque/caberet, Thursday through Saturday, April 12-14th, 2012 at our new home The Marchesa Events Center (www.marchesa.com)!

The festival is aimed at the national, international as well as regional community of ecdysiasts. This will be a great opportunity for a select number of performers to showcase their bump and grind skills including parties, a performer brunch/roundtable, competitions and "best of the best" performances and new this year - WORKSHOPS!

We are proud to announce our featured guests this year will include boylesque by Ray Gunn from the Stage Door Johnnies, up and comer Kristina Nekyia, queen of the classic tease Kitten Deville, and more performers and featured artists listed NOW!

We will feature competitions in the following categories but performers can of opt out of the competitions on any night, just state so on your app - it will NOT affect your selection chances!

Thursday and Friday Nights:

• Best in Show - Lone Stars and Garters Audience Choice

Saturday Night awards in the following categories:

• Best Soloist
• Best Ensemble
• Most Original
• Best Costume
• Best Tease
• Best Novelty (for aerial/pole/Misc large prop pieces)

Fees
Early Registration: We are no longer accepting early applications
Late Registration Fee: We are no longer accepting late applications

This does not include tickets to the shows. If you are selected to perform you will get a performers pass/lanyard granting you access to all nights of the fest, in a selected viewing area. There are no comp tickets for performer's guests, sorry!

In its 4 previous years, the Texas Burlesque Fest has been an unprecedented success, busting at the seams with amazing Burlesque, Vaudeville and Cabaret performers from all over the nation, playing to sold out audiences each evening and we anticipate this year being no different!

Texas Burlesque Fest celebrates the renaissance of all performance burlesque, caberet and vaudeville in nature and strives to foster a supportive community among performers in Texas and across the United States through networking and professional performance opportunities.
